Daily driving with 720form wheels?
Anyone have any experience DD'ing a brz/frs/86 with 720form wheels? I've been thinking about biting the bullet with the GTF2 18x9 because of the price, and I'm currently broke AF, but I don't know how they'll look on my black 2017 BRZ. I'm currently lowered on BC Racing coils, any thoughts/opinions and pictures would be greatly appreciated !

So, let me get this right... your asking if you can daily drive a wheel, which for all sense and purposes was made for cars?
Uh....maybe I miss read it and you might have said is 720 form wheels are a good reliable wheel? Seeing as your kind of new, we have a huge wheel fitment section. I highly recommend you take a long read as to the many wheel/tire combinations out there.

Then wait...
No sense in buying something you can't afford to impress a bunch of people you don't know... plus if you wait you can get what you really want when you can afford it vs. compromising now and not being happy with it after the "cool new car parts" feeling wears off. |

Welcome to the forum!
I love the 720form GTF1! They are good wheels. No personal experience, but the GTF1 was on my short list. I researched 720form, and from what I read, I would totally use them for DD. Anyway, Save your money. Don't buy the cheapest tires. Post pics when you get them installed! Link to 720form thread. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64040 Good luck!!!

Much as I like throwing money at my car, I gotta agree with sodjer here. If you're broke AF don't rush into buying wheels you don't need. You'll enjoy them more if you wait until you have the extra money to spend comfortably.

They're fine for daily driving. Common sense should kind of apply here. You clearly don't want to steamroll pot holes, and go flying off of speed bumps.
If I was to buy them again, I'd probably go the 8" wide ones, since they're something like a pound lighter, and replacing tires will be cheaper. But, it's hard to beat the nice look of the concave on the 9" wide ones. Edit: they're also likely the most affordable, lightweight wheel in the sizes they have. I got my set for a hair over 1050, I think. Last edited by Cole; 02-13-2018 at 03:01 PM. |

I should've reworded what I said, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a wheel just to impress anyone. It's all for myself and my vision to what I prefer on the vehicle etc. Obviously I don't go head on into potholes and such, just curious how they handle under certain circumstances where I can't avoid bumps, can't see them.

I got the 17x8 GTF1s 5 months back and I daily them. No matter what I'm driving, I avoid potholes like the plague, take speedbumps easy and never have curbed my wheels so not sure how they'd react to getting smashed around.
There is/was somebody in here that used them on a race car. Like Cole said, they are one of the lightest and cheapest out there. I wasn't going to spend $3k+ on wheels on a $24k car since I'm not living in CA with their big boy wages. I liked the way they look and their low weight(15.5 lbs) after seeing some cars pictured in here and seeing as how they were cheap($800), that made the decision even easier. There are a bunch of pictures of them in here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64040 Here's a black one with GTF2 at top left: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/449304500306679781 GTF2 but on a DGM: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...8874f3fd26.jpg |
