AR-1 are fairly grippy.

I have been using 235 AD08R and havent noticed on any UK circuit ive been to a problem with oil starvation.

However, I did recently fit the Cosworth Baffle plate as I may go for something more aggressive in the future.

I also fitted the Moroso piece of crap a few years back, it caused oil pressure drop when held above 6k rpms. I am very thankful I had my trusty Defi gauge so I could stop and save the engine.

IMO an oil pressure gauge should be the 1st mod to a car if you plan to modify the oil system in any way and do trackdays. All it take its an oil line popping off your oil cooler and the big end shell will die very quickly.

Sorry for digging up your old thread. I really like what you have done on the oil cooler. Few questions for you:

1) Do you still have the Mocal oil cooler on your car?
2) Any issues at all (ie: leaking)?
3) With the Cosworth Supercharger you have, any temperature issue on track?
4) Mind let me know where can I find all the required parts?

Oil cooler (160mm length, oil fitting and water fittin =?)

Sandwich Plate
https://www.mishimoto.com/m22-thermo...ich-plate.html

The PT Tuning kit is quite pricey.

Thanks

1) yes I do

2) The Mishimoto banjos started wheeping after they vibrated lose. I tightened them up and no issues in a couple years. Make sure you use cross check on them as a visual indication if they come loose. (same thing does for coilover top mounts, SC nose pulley ect)

3) The kit is designed for 400hp (1.2bar boost) so intake air temperature is really low on these kits in standard pulley form. Mines about +15C over ambient on track. I have graphs if you want to see them but I think I already posted them here.

4) I have a list here

Part way through install of stage 2 kit. Having trouble squeezing the new radiator in as the bleed hose doesn't seem to have anywhere to go. Anyone have similar issues?

RallySport Direct has a sale going on which includes the smaller pulley with the kit. Check it out!

Interesting question I have is. Why don't these kits originally ship with the smaller pulley? It would make their kit seem more competitive vs others because the power would be higher.

The smaller pulley puts the power on the upper echelon for rod tolerance. Though they could handle it, Cosworth's more concerned with reliability than ultimate power. At least, that's my guess.

OMG. @Matt@Cosworth. This is the BRZ they should have made. All props to you and Cosworth for making this kit.
Bravo.

I'll post some pics of the install and give a more detailed review later. There were some pros and cons with the install, but complete pros on the kit itself. Power feels completely linear, predictable and strong. The car feels "grown up" now. Like a European Tuner... Love it!

Yea, they completely redesigned the bracket that holds the reservoir and pump. Had to figure that one out on my own. Also, I think it would have been MUCH easier if I had removed the 3 bolts that hold on the AC compressor and moved it out of the way. That could have saved about an hour's work. Some of the coolant hoses do not match the install manual either. Some of them that were supposed to be "bent" were straight. Lot's of time was spent on getting all the hoses to route properly. Trial and error on getting everything to fit.

But enough of the negative. It looks totally professional. Feels awesome. Drives like a dream and was every bit worth it. Feel kind of privileged to have a Cosworth BRZ...

Here's some pics of the bracket assembly for the coolant tank and pump. This wasn't included in the installation manual as it still mentions and old design. I actually like this design better. It mounts solid and looks very professional. No wire ties either...

There are 2 L shaped brackets. You will only use one of them depending on whether you have a left hand or right hand drive car.
