I agree. The Camaro 2.0T is a really good car. Of course, having people like Mark Scroggs driving that car helps make it more obvious too.

The turbo pony cars aren't going anywhere in 2018 and even if they do move it they generally get one more year to run. Id also keep in mind that Mark is a super fast driver, they may throw out his times all together when considering a change. There is a chance he might raw time my class (f street).

One thing I will say is you might get more camaros and mustangs next year and I bet they wont be nearly as competitive.

We're aware of how fast Mark is out here but I think most of you aren't aware of just how fast the car is too. He has the added benefit of being the only one who is running it right now which has a lot of people saying the exact same thing you are.

I had a similar issue when I ran stx. Basically a spec class of brzfrs and Wilcox owning all of us in a mini. Yet no one else has gotten that car to be as fast as him.

The Whietline diff and subframe poly reinforcement/inserts are not DS legal, right? Those two mods are the things that are keeping me from committing to DS. I feel like they really help the car foundationally and also help prolong the life of the diff and subframe bushings since they aren't moving as much which means not having to go through the pain of replacing them down the road... STX just seems too far out of the budget for me.

Is it really worth running 5mm wheel spacers when your wheels are +48 offset? Anyone have experience playing with that or even running different offset front to back?

Well, first only if you have extended lugs. After that, it's a trade off between wider track being good for stability and the wider track making you hit more cones. Not much in it really. A square setup seems to work pretty well on these cars.

In theory, you would have to remove everything that came with the Limited and and make it into a Premium. However, a lot of that could be covered by comfort and convenience. In the end, I suspect you would not really be allowed to do it, but I also would doubt anyone would care that much.

You can get pretty far into STX for only a little more than the well prepped DS cars... but I think the maintenance idea is a bit off on the bushings. Stiffer moves the first failure, but doesn't really eliminate it. And STX camber does so much more for you...

Idk, my aim doesn't seem to line up with STX. Trying to keep this as a budget DD/AutoX car. I'm not going to be the DS guy on MCS adjustables or anything like that. I just wanna keep things simple, reliable, and affordable. I would definitely miss some of the STX mods though. I've just been looking into a 2nd set of wheels for DD and putting 225 200TW tires on my stock wheels is just so much more doable than going all out with 9 inch wide wheels and 245s or 255s :t

Front bar, cheap set of 17x7 wheels and if you think you needs some shocks, some Konis for $800 and you're done.

Enjoy and race the wheels off it.

FYI, I'm selling my two sets of DS RPF1s with tires for $700 each:

one set with 225 Rival S 1.5s
one set with 225 RE71Rs

Can likely arrange transport to you from Nationals, if interested.

If you have any desire to ship them to AZ, I may be interested in the set with RE71Rs.

I say may because I have no idea what shipping would be. Otherwise, I'm in the market for a set of 17x7s which is surprisingly hard to find used.
