So... has anyone had crickets and eventually solved the issue? I haven't made it all the way through >150 pages of comments, but my search didn't indicate anyone had a solution.

There were a few reports of replaced fuel pump or certain brands of gas, but nothing definitive. Any follow-up? Mine are becoming nearly constantly annoying.

There is no solution truly. Just drive your car several miles and sometimes they go away. Mine come and go even with the most recent pump.

So did anyone else go to the Cupcake meet? I had a friend up there in his Evo X and he said that someone in an FRS dyno'd at 81bhp.

We both agreed that either his car was suffering serious heat soak problems or there was something horribly wrong with the car.

Welcome to getting old!

That being said I keep being too lazy to take a trip down lime creek lately. Someone needs to set that up again, so I'm more forced to go out and drive on the weekends.

@FR-S Matt and @trevorovert, I was reading this build thread and the part where he is talking about installing his Vortech Supercharger was interesting. I figured you both would be interested to read what he has to say about installation.

That's a shame to hear! I was busy working the meet to get to really enjoy anything or see any of the cars. Leave us some feedback on our Facebook page if you got time. We like to hear any compliments or criticism the people have. It's the only way we can continue to improve and throw quality events.

This kit is 100x more of a pain in the ass to install instead of a Jackson or Kraftwerks rotrex kit. You have to shave down the AC compressor on the top to get an adapter to fit. I gave up on Vortech when I red that part.

Yes, install your radiator first if you plan on going FI. You will regret it later if not. My Mishimoto is working fine so far. I need to check for leaks though as I caught some coolant in the skidpan, possibly from the waterpump. Need to check tightness on all my worm clamps tonight then fill a little coolant.

I think it's a combination of external and internal factors.

Internally, this event didn't seem very well organized. When planning, I'm not sure who looked at the venue and thought, "Yes, this will hold the hundreds of cars we plan on bringing. Cars that we know are functionally retarded and may have issues." Also, I understand that staging cars doesn't work when you have a "come-as-you-are" approach to who can and cannot show, but the line(s) that were wrapped around I-35 were bad planning. I know there were other issues that were minor (people getting harassed by police, etc.), but those aren't my concern.

I only mention these things because I've seen you guys throw successful events (CCM7 in DFW, CCM X).

For the external factors... I guess when you've shown for Wekfest, etc., car shows start blending in. The same kids with the same belligerent attitudes with the same cookie-cutter vehicles.

Sweet googly moogly. I am old.

Finally got my OEM Audio working properly! It sounds incredible!! And Daniel from OEM Audio was amazing to work with as well.

On a crappy note, I was trying to adjust the sensitivity of my alarm system...and I was testing the shock response by bumping the car slightly with my palm above the driver side door. Well, I guess I don't know my own strength because as I was walking away I looked back and saw a bunch of tiny dents where I was bumping.

Gonna swing by King of the Ding tomorrow and see about getting these dents removed. I feel like such a loser knowing that I just cost myself $200+ for being an idiot. Lesson learned.
