I haven't gone in about twenty but if it is basically a bunch of dealerships then I may not waste the time.

I might be exaggerating but aside from the Porsche museum and the Mazda museum (Cosmo! FD!), there really isn't anything awesome I'd say YOU MUST SEE.

Agera RS? Yeah but it's not like you get to sit in it...

Well maybe I will just wait a couple more years until I am actually looking to replace the FRS. May be more worthwhile if I am actually looking for a car (or at least in the research stage).

I've never been, was interested this year since I'm now living in the GTA.

But, just looked it up, 40 minutes on the TTC just to walk around a crowded place. I think I'll pass.

If you're looking to buy, then yes, absolutely go. If not... ehhhhh...

40 mins on the TTC isn't that bad. I paid $30 to park dammit.

Try and go during the day on a week-day if you want to avoid the crowds. Easier said than done, I know, but totally worth it. Evenings and weekends (and family day Monday) are like a sardine can in there every year, so I avoid at all costs, but during the week it's nice and open and way less people, especially if you go early.

That being said, the show is a "must" every year for me as someone who works in the industry, as this is basically my trade show, and gives me a good opportunity to keep abreast of what the competition is offering in their new vehicles. I also have the advantage of getting in for free with my OMVIC license, and everything is always more enjoyable when it's free lol.

I will actually be working at the Kia booth this Thursday, the 22nd, from 10am to 4pm, so if anyone happens to be at the show on Thursday, come by and say hi! I plan to walk around the rest of the show after my shift is done.

Today is the day to go, cheap tickets and it'll be empty. I went Sunday with a couple friends, WAY too many people... next year I'm going to try to get a media pass and go before it opens to the public.

Depends.

The only thing I really really enjoyed was the Renault/Infinity F1 car... Seeing those up close is always a treat.

Q60 Black S was also ridiculous to look at. BRZ ts is meh and you can't even go inside it it's displayed like it's some crazy $100,000 + luxury car and you can't get close.

CSCS winning suby in the "tuner battle grounds" up close was cool but other than that and 2 other racecars is just a bunch of riced out cars you would see on instagram struggling to leave their driveways.

overall.. a very fun disappointment.

That Civic Type R steering wheel though... Possibly one of the ugliest and most tacky steering wheels I have witnessed so far. Like I thought the 86 steering wheel was basic and not really 'sporty'/'flashy', but that Civic wheel is so bad..

It was super funny going to the different area's and seeing the surrounding groups of people change per car and brand. Type R, STi, BRZ, 370z, GTR = Vape lords. Mustang, Camaro, Mx5, Challenger, charger = Old people, like literally retired, more so at the Mx5. Any Audi, BMW, Mercedes and the 124 spyder (lol) = guidos, these guys had better eyebrows than my GF.

Then my favourite domestic.... the truck crew, any trucks there, but especially that GMC Sierra that is like all decked out in like mega ultra tacky chrome, shotgun stowed under driver seat, and winch attached along side flood lights because STORM CHASER LIFE; I have never seen more camouflage in my life besides going into a hunting/military shop.

Looks like the only thing worth seeing is Mazda's vintage display.
