Their products can be overhyped. To me the design is obnoxious and awkward (my opinion). The whole "Restrictor" on the compressor intake is also a turn off.

Evasive I think is having fun with the kit though. Maybe they can chime in.

I think it only produced about +50-60hp but the price point is competitive and it's good quality components. The compressor looks a little small so I wonder how much HP it can support.

I wonder what's included in the kit. It doesn't seem like a tune but I don't know about injectors or any other additional parts. I'm wondering how the throttle response is relative to a Vortech.

Here is the write up on the blog:

HKS make quality products, I agree the design is not great but I would rather spend a little extra on a brand that is proven... As for hp I've read that the same kit can reach 400hp, not that I want that much, but its available if ever wanted. As I said I've read somewhere I can't seem to find some quality information.

I have to admit I'm interested, I mean AVO And vortech are still up there as choices but I feel if I find more info on this I would get the HKS.

Not always the case. They seem to have a ton of hype though.

I was in Evasive's shop today, and the person I spoke with indicated that there is a 5psi kit and a 10psi kit. I believe they are both intercooled, but the numbers he quoted me for the 10psi kit were ~300whp and 230lb/ft of torque. He wasn't completely sure (wasn't a salesman), but I will be checking into it further.

AFAIK, only the Vortech kit is looking for CARB certification, however, making this an 'off-road' setup.

Considering Evasive made 300 WHP @ 13 psi on race fuel ..... 10 psi pump fuel would not be 300 WHP

The Import Tuner/Super Street/Modified FR-S made about 209whp on a Mustang Dyno with the "pre-production" kit. I hope to Jeebus the production kit makes more power or they won't sell any here.

This is the only FI kit thats caught my eye. I think the base kit with a 4.44 final drive would be an awesome street car.

I'm getting the HKS supercharger put on at Evasive next week. With the parts going they predicted I'd be getting about 250whp on a safe tune. I'll post pics and dyno when I get it back.

That car is just for show, probably added +10lbs per corner just on tyres alone..

We made 300whp on a mustang dyno with our HKS kit. We have a stage 2 kit if people want to do a little bit more then 209whp. The Production kit is for buyers that just want to slap on and get a little bit more power out of the FR-S and have a really reliable car to drive.

We are still working out the R&D for the stage 2 and stage 3 kits. If you want to do pump fuel and 10psi you are looking around the 250whp range on our dyno. We are still working on it and plan on releasing it soon!

Hell, if i would have this kit put on at yall's shop, id tell you to get as much as you could out of it and let me know the extra parts i gotta pay for. I think this kit could get at least 350wheel without n2o and without wmi. Just dk if there is a larger compressor wheel for this s/c..
