Hi Guys,
I walked into a Toyota Dealership to order a 86 this week and the sale person implied to me that I might be a bit too old for this car. I am 38 with 2 kids. I did order the car that day, was wondering how much would cost me to insure the car so found this thread and by the look of it, my impression is that a lot of would be 86 owners are in fact quite young in mid 20s. Am I really too old for having fun driving this great driver's machine? Cheers |

If it tells you anything a good percentage of the US Scion 1st86 have 15or more years on you (including me). You're a youngun in my book! Jack Hollis (VP Scion in US) said the car isn't "about being young, its about being a thinking young". That's how I feel about it. This is about me driving what I want to drive. |

there is no such thing as too old for a car. my friend's dad was driving a supercharged S2000 at his 70s. personally i'm 36 with 2 kids. |

Look at the average age of the MX 5 owners!!! Also the target age according to the internal Toyota document was 35 so no the sales guys was a noob and i would ignore him. |

Insurance is going to be stupid for these, I guarantee it, If only because its so accessible to P-platers and under 25s. |
