Stock Sway Bar Rates

Anyone have the rates for the stock 18mm Front 14mm rear in lbs/in sitting around that they could post here for me?

I searched the forums and couldn't find the baseline number for the OEM bars.

Thanks,
Joe

I am interesting also, as I am wondering what changes to F/R could be used on 19mm F/ 16mm R from Perrin, they are adjustable and for me, 245/35 or 255/35 x 18's @ 45 offset would change the loading the sway-bars have to control. If this highjacks Joe OP question let me know and I'll move it. But it seemed like we both can get answers.

Zombie thread back from the dead.

Andy,,,

I wanted to ask would 2015 FRS still have 140lb Front Swaybar rate?? With RC Yellow Springs,,, would a stifffer bar be better???? If so,,, how much stiffer in LBs?? I'll need to do a custom bar with the swap I'm doing,,, no room for the OEM bar.

Thanks!!!!

All depends....in general most will improve with a slightly stiffer front bar than stock. 20mm to 22mm is the sweet spot but it depends on the rest of the car. I wouldn't do a 22mm without a larger rear bar and even with a 20mm I would recommend a slightly larger rear bar with our RCE Yellow springs. If you have coilovers you can change spring rates to get a desired balance.

Thank you sir! I'm looking at a Speedway Engineering splined bar so I'l shoot for 140lb min with an adjustable arm for more if needed/wanted.

I have an 18/22 combo on otherwise stock '13 suspension (FRS, crash bolts and a semi-aggressive alignment) and I love the feel. Reduces lean a bit, without really changing it's behavior. The car turns in nicely at low speed and is very neutral on the track, without feeling too twitchy or unstable in faster sweepers.
