Ha, so apparently scams targeting small businesses exist as well. I received a very official looking and sounding letter from a fake division with a UPS store address trying to charge me $77 for a real certificate that only costs $10 from the Secretary of State.

I haven't cleaned the Member Classified section since last week Tuesday... but due to site down for few days, I didn't really had to worry bout cleaning a lot.

Also I can't believe I've wasted my time reading one of the thread... wasn't sure he was a troll or serious. Either way, I want 10mins of my time back. BUT that's what usually happens when you're in the forum right?

Yeah, small businesses are prime scam targets. Most new owners are new to it and are therefore easier to manipulate. Good job figuring it out.

Similar thing happened when I bought my house (similarly people dealing with new stuff). Asshats send letters around with confusing and official-sounding wording to get people to pay for a service that doesn't really do anything. Got bad enough that realtors and real estate lawyers warned everyone in advance.

Wouldn't happen to have anything to do with checking brake pad wear would it?

Yeah, I can see how it would be effective. There was a "Please respond by" date on it that was only four days after it arrived, which I'm sure was meant to cause panic. It nearly worked. I had my check book out and everything, but then I started googling.

While driving, I heard Nissan Altima commercial about their all new VC-T variable compression ratio turbo engine (KR20DDET). Caught my attention, so searching up on it to see how it works. It's pretty interesting how this VC works... but at the same time, I still don't get 100% how it works.

This is why I'm not an engineer.

It's pretty cool. Lots of monkey motion going on though.

2020 bmw s1000r sportbike has a torque dip. Pretty drastic one too lol. Only American models. Meeting epa standards. I thought the euro standards were worse?

Yeah, just finish watching Engineering Explained (also your vid)... just don't get how compression changes. Well more like don't get how stroke changes. I get that distance changes when it's at the piston is at the top... but how would piston distance change when it's at the bottom... or they don't? IDk

I see what they're doing but too much horseshit going on for me. I see recalls galore in my crystal ball. And why do I want the compression to increase when I let off the gas? Ice is dead. Long live ice lol
