that is actually why i'm going with the BeSpoke head unit. well, that, and because i can connect my MP3 player through bluetooth, so i can plug something else in. besides, it's just cooler looking than that '90s looking unit.

wrxgoose,
I use bluetooth with the stock head unit and it works flawlessly. I would stronly suggest you look at other aftermarket head units as an option besides the BeSpoke.
My opinion is it's just not worth it and for about the same cost or a little more you can have a really nice head unit with a LOT more functionality.
Have you taken any time to see what's being said on the forums regarding the BeSpoke unit?

yes.. why waste all that money on bespoke when you can get a nice aftermarket one with a real navi..

and feeling small could be because the seat hugs you so nicely. at least thats how i feel...

The interior was one of the things that sold me on the car...spartan where it needs to be, comfortable and supportive seats, and one of the best feeling steering wheels I've ever gripped

It makes me feel like I have so much more visibility because you are so close to all the windows.

Do people really care about interior that much when they drive a sports car?

I like the way the car fits.... It's a drivers car not a Mercedes.

Agree the wheel is nice; the leather is soft rather than the vinyl-feeling leather many Japanese cars have.

Chensuo has a point about the BRZ interior. I was at a car show where people were crowded around the BRZ waiting to sit inside and the FR-S looked abandonned.

Most of the valid interior complaints are about the useless rear seats (I'd rather have storage bins) and center console lack of armest. Sure there are complaints about plastic surfaces vs. leather and the fake carbon but it's entry level and you have to go in with that in mind. It's a simple design and many owners/show cars already have custom dash/door suede.

I find the interior has only what it needs. It's basically a 2 seater there is one cupholder in each door. The trunk will hold a large samsonite, golf bag or 3-4 duffles (more than enough for a couples escape) and you don't have to sacrifice your spare (like a Miata). People buying this car are ultra-specific, I'm glad they didn't put in a Bose system or some other waste of money b/c aftermarket is almost always better. Many people want leather but Katzkins are the leather upgrade in most vehicles so patience will bring them to us too (the piped and inserted ones, I think the generics are available). Door sill guards and decent pedals are included (upgrades on similar priced cars). *2 cents*

I'd been shopping for economy sedans, when I sat in the FR-S and BRZ I thought, "now THIS is not some econobox." The only thing I really need to make this entry-level interior more appealing is a damn armrest/center console that doesn't suck.

*side note* theres no fake carbon in the frs. Its actually a design (same shape as the reverse lights and reflector, kinda a T w a pointed base) that is paying homage to the predecessor

Absolutely agree! It is comfortable, cosseting, and minimalist in a way I appreciate. And, it reminds me of the older Porsche and BMW interiors I'm used to, which didn't seem to detract from those cars' desirability.

I think the interior is perfect, everything you need to drive from A to B without any distractions. The thing is more basic than my old 07 SI

In a sports car, i like the feeling of putting the car on. I don't want to sit in it. I want to wear it. It's how you feel all the little nuances about how the car is handling that tells you how to drive it well.

I like the scale of the interior. And despite what everyone says about the back seats, I was able to fit 4 full-sized people in my car the other day. It's no limo, but it works when you need it to.

I'm perfectly happy with the interior of my FR-S. I had decided the very first thing I would do to the car would be to have Katzkins leather installed. I'm not going to do it as I've grown accustomed to the fabric and in fact I like it.

As far as feeling small inside!! I drove my last car, a Miata for six years before trading it in on the FR-S and at first I felt like I had moved from a closet into a space ship.
