I finally cracked them open...

Decided to black out the headlights and turn signals. I also completely painted the side markers black. Pics are kind of crappy it was dark out and the car is super dirty.

daytime pics? finally, someone who did it one color and the correct way. you blacked out the turn signal too, how did that come out? i can't tell, is the reflecting part all black now or is there a small housing in there you can black out?

also do you have to drop the front bumper to remove the headlights/turn signal? i think i might do mine tomorrow.

The turn signal came out great. It is very tedious because there is no housing to just take out and paint. I did open them up and taped off the chrome middle and just painted the sides. So it is still very useful since there is chrome in the back. Tapping the curves are the hardest part. But i had to do it as i keep seeing everyone who blacks out the headlights and then the turn signals are still very chrome and sticks out like a sore thumb.

And yes i took off the front bumper. I just followed the DYI and took my time being very careful with everything.

I did not break my side markers taking them in and out, and when i re applied my bumper i did not get it sticking out like others have had issues with. I am very happy and this whole mod only was $5 (the can of spray paint)

Just normal acrylic enamel. I just went to autozone and grabbed a can of rustoleum. you dont need anything fancy. Tinting was an option but i wasnt going to go the cheap route with VHT i would have had them painted by a shop with clear and candy black put into it. But i like this better.

Blacking out the turns is easy as hell, did that the first week I had the car. I blacked the whole housing, still plenty of visability. In the process of blacking the headlights now. are those burnout marks in your garage?
