ECUTek Cable not reading OBDII Anymore

So all of a sudden my software wont connect. "No CAN Vehicle Interface Found"
When I plug the BUS into the car, the green light on the BUS lights up. Windows indicates that it finds a connection but wont find the ecu. My Windows updated recently. I updated the ECUTek software after the Windows update and it still wouldn't find the ECU.

Has anyone come across this issue?

The OBD2 port can be a bit frail. I had that with my car as well and the dealer kindlysorted it out for me. U have to be very carefull when using it

If ecutek software see dongle key it will run and get to state your in with RED indication in OBD and K line connection.

As soon as you plug in ecutek obd cable into pc (without car connection) those RED indicators should go green. If they don't cable has gone faulty or the drivers/software needs reinstall.

Try removing then reinstalling ecutek software (don't do this if you have a licience that has not been transferred to ecu) if still no go contact ecutek support

You don't need the cable connected to the car. As said, when the cable is connected it should show the 2 status lights as green.

I'll try to reinstall the software. I've been using ECUTek on this car since 2013 and this is the first time it decides not to work.

As I said before, whether connected to the OBD port or not, if the cable is connected to the laptop/computer then the two red lights in the screenshot below should go green

Try different ports or different computer if that doesn't work.

Three Ideas:

- FTDI polling could be going on elsewhere and more aggressively in the background. Close everything or restart PC.

- Try a different USB port?

- Finally, run the setup.exe or setup-x64.exe found in c:\ecutek\VehicleInterfaceDrivers\ to reinstall the FTDI drivers for the vehicle interface. Re-seat the usb cable.

NOTE: You don't have to have the OBD-II side of the cable plugged into a car for those red indicators to turn green.

Did you able to solve this issue? Same problem here.
Ok. Just an update here. I have purchased a new obd2 scanner from OTC brand. It is OTC encore scan tool https://bestobd2scanners.com/otc-encore-review/. It came with all the necessary kits. Yesterday, I set-up everything, and it's working fine.

I had the same issue and I ended up having to bend the ECUTek OBD2 pins in towards the center very slightly to get a solid connection. It could possibly be seeing the power pins but not the comm pins. Mine connects solid every time now.

As in earlier posts
1. If the ecutek software actually stsrts up and runs your dongle key is ok
2. If you get the two RED boxes in ghe ecutek window after the ecutek sotware stars with the ecutek obd cable pligged into computer only then its likely the ecutek cavle has failed. It doesnt need to be plugged into a car to go vreen, Green indicates ecutek software can see the ecutek cable

Just ran into this

Hit "Help" -> "EcuTek Update"

Run all the updates. I think all you need is the "Update Drivers & Help" but I just ran them all.
