Recently purchased kit from another member got the tune and everything from shiv, but was wondering how do you get OFT to display or read which gas you are currently running? I dont see anything like FF_Ethanol% on real time data.

Did anybody update their oft template in order to show ethanol %? Shiv only sent me a bin file and nothing else. I loaded the tune and flashed it to the car, but I cannot find FF_Ethanol% in the data channels.

Having an issue with my flex kit install. OFT is reading 85% ethanol at all times, tune is flashed and latest template is on tablet. Checking over things, I'm getting 4ish volts on what should be pin 20 on A35 connector even with the controller disconnected. Wire I tapped into was orange with black stripe. USDM my13. Am I missing something? I feel like with the evap wire cut I should be reading 0 volts on it until i connect the controller.

The ecu pulls the evap pressure input to 5v if that input is open circuit. So if nothing connected ecu will see 5v whick likely represents 85% ethanol.

If you ground the ecu evap pressure input ie pin 20 A35 then ecu should see zero volts and 0 % ethanol interpreted

OK that makes sense, so my actual issue is controller side most likely. I'll short that pin to ground and watch the OFT, that'll tell me i'm wired right at least. Its an arduino controller running ztan's code, so i'll have to tear into it and see where I made my mistake.

Oh, hang on, i think i remember ztans original arduino code and circuit worked in the oposite sense to most compecial flex kits and hence tunes.

So if you built ztan original circuit and code for flex you may jave to modify the flex tune to work in opposite sense
