Unlockable trunk?

I was one of the few who wanted this car to come with a trunk because I really need a car that I can lock my stuff away in. But looking at the pics I see no keyhole in the trunk area.

Is it possible they implemented another way to lock the trunk.
If not is there any known aftermarket mods to make the trunk lockable.
I'd hate for something so stupid to be what's stopping/delaying me from getting the car

I'm pretty sure they're is a keyhole flushed somewhere around the trunk.....or it's a keyless trunk entry.

It would be cruel by Toyota/Subaru to not allow a lockable trunk

There is a trunk button on the remote fob. Someone posted a picture of it in one of these threads. My parents forester is the same way. I think it looks much cleaner without the keyhole, I had it shaved on my wrx trunk.

Now thinking back... I have seen several FRS... but don't remember any key hole on the trunk... Hm... I wonder what Toyota/Subaru gonna do?

I sure inside the car where the release lever is there will be a keyhole to lock the trunk so the lever can't be pulled.

Good eyes! They're pretty smart to have it hidden.

off-topic, but is that your RS in the Avi? If it is, I envy you for having 22B bumper

yes it is and thanks! It's the non-wide body Sports Bumper.

On Topic...I like that they hid it though, looks a lot better without the keyhole visable

BMW does the same thing with their recent models, gets rid of the ugly keyhole and still acts as a backup if your keyfob dies or gets lost.

The trunk automatically locks when you lock the doors. There is that little button directly under the Subaru logo that opens it (that little skinny black button between the tag lights) or there is the button inside next to the steering wheel column (they only work if the car is unlocked) or the button on your key. That little key hole is incase the battery dies, the button stops working, or you have to open it manually for other reasons.

I have to use them daily working for enterprise.
