If you don't have Vison of Confluence from VoG I would try to get that. Also try out the Scout rifle from New Monarchy. It has exploding rounds once you upgrade it and that allows for twice as many chances to do crit when you hit something.

I've already got VoC, but I'm not a huge fan of scout rifles in general. Much prefer hand cannons and auto rifles for whatever reason. My 300dmg Devil You Know still works really well but I feel like I should be using a 331dmg gun.

I should have bought the Vanquisher from New Monarchy but instead I used all my crucible marks on a new level 31 helmet, only to be given another level 31 helmet after doing the weekly heroic

Dumb question maybe, but will weapon drops in the VoG have the new damage stats? I'm assuming so, but you know how that goes.

The Vanquisher is my primary Auto Rifle and I will tell you, once you get perfect balance it is just as good as the SUROS. If not maybe even better since it's only a Legendary it allows me to use an exotic secondary!

No. There's been rumor that they will but Bungie hasn't said anything official and they aren't dropping with higher stars right now.

Interesting. Kind of makes running the VoG obsolete at this point unless someone really really wants a particular weapon from the VoG.

The different damage types are pretty nice to have. Especially on the nightfalls.

Even the exotics that are dropping from VoG are version 1.0 300 dmg. Makes no sense, everywhere else in the game drops 331 dmg exotics. There's basically zero reason to do the VoG now and that really sucks because this game has so little content already.

Kotaku ran an article recently parroting the same points, and its all over reddit. Hopefully all the negative attention piled on top of the bungie comment "we want VoG to stand the test of time" would surely point to a patch that (at the very least) updates weapon stats. It'd be nice to include periodic updates introducing higher level 30/31/32 difficulties to maintain balance with the other raids.

@53Driver Xur is selling the Thorn upgrade this weekend so my previous post about Xur not being able to upgrade the "Exotic Bounty Weapons" is false lol. I know how you feel about the Truth cause I'm in the same boat as you, I could buy it or I could wait and hope the upgrade comes around soon. At least he has the Icebreaker upgrade this weekend and of course he also has the suros upgrade

which will make Iron Banner more annoying next week because everyone and their mother uses the suros lol.

No worries. I figured you just misquoted lol. As far as IB goes, the whole Suros thing will be mute if we put together a team and just wreck people.

Matchmaking has been updated so if you go in with a large premade fireteam you're more likely to go against one.
