Arrow My boosted build...on a budget

So in a few days I will be back in the states with a bunch of goodies just waiting to get installed so I figure I should make a build thread for me to keep track of what I buy and to share my build with the community.


Currently installed/done
-HID 6k Headlights $55
-HID 6k Foglights (adjusted to a very low angle) w/subaru outback glass housing appx $255 w/hids
-LED 8k DRL/ Hi Beam under $10 from ebay
-MSR Style 045 18x8 w/225/40/18 FREE
-Diode Dynamics LED side markers, rear licence plate, and trunk lighting appx $30

I will be posting link's up of where I purchased each part but for now, that's a brief list of what I have/ordered/soon to order with what I paid.

As far as oil cooler and radiator go, I still haven't decided what type to get and with cooler weather coming up I think I can wait awhile before I buy those. I also don't plan on tracking/autox-ing anytime soon so I'm not really hard pressed to spend more money on track essential mods.


Any comments, suggestions, advice regarding will be appreciated

Note: This is not my daily driver.

My "budget" was much smaller when I started buying parts, but I just kept making excuses to increase my spending limit hehe

What kind of engine management will you be running? Plan on getting it tuned locally or e-tuned?

What's wrong with the V12/V4's? I used to drive with the V4's during winter times and RS2's during summer months in my old Tiburon and I've never had an issue with them. This summer though I'm grabbing a set of RS3's.

Nothing's wrong with V12/V4's... although since you're going to be pushing a lot of power, I'd recommend you going with something stickier. R-S3s are a great choice tho'.
