Thanks for the kind words. I'm just glad I'm okay and nobody got hurt. It just sucks to be in this kind of situation. I feel better. Now, just the start of the wait to get her back soon.

Painted (champagne bronze, closest OTS bronze to the Sparco bronze) and installed this (free) Ultra Racing front strut bar into the Yaris. Was a bit of a PITA since I had to partially remove the plastic cowl cover.

Imagine getting to the DMV 80 mins before it opens and you’re still the tenth person in line.

Not sure if you have AAA, but you can get some DMV services done there instead.

For the future, I'm pretty sure you can make appointments beforehand.

Ahhh didn’t know. But I’m not a AAA member right now.

I mean yeah but this is for picking up my license plates. This location has a wait of almost a month for an appointment except during a couple random odd times. So.. it sucks but that’s how it is.

You have to surrender your current plates at the DMV to get the custom ones.

It's a ridiculous process. I understand the process for everything else that requires forms being filled out and whatnot, but swapping plates literally consisted of me waiting in line over an hour, then waiting in line 15 mins once the doors opened, then another 10-15 mins sitting waiting for my number to be called, only for like 2 mins at the counter doing the swap and being told I'm good to go.

Just not sure how to improve it, and obviously they don't either.

^that. I was in and out in 10 min for mine and the place was packed.

Also seems to help to make an appointment at the end of the day cuz they want to gtfo so the line moves quicker. At least in my area ymmv

It was either wait possibly a 3 weeks to a month for an appointment or go, waste 1.5 hours, and be done with it. Chose the latter because it's just not worth putting something small off like that.

Those black and yellow plates do look really slick, don't they?
