The guy ended up selling it because it was way too loud and raspy even with two resonators along the front and mid pipes.

I know another guy locally with the same header who sold his Perrin 3" resonated catback a week after installing it because it was too loud.

Leave 3" for the turbo guys.

I'll have to watch the vid in a few. Only real reason I was wanting 3" was due to wanting to go FI (supercharged) eventually. Going off that information, I'll probably just go 2.5".

2.5 and 450+ here. FullBlown made 387+ on a completely stock exhaust.

Yeah after hearing the vid ATL BRZ posted, and seeing this it's looking like I'll stick with the 2.5". Thanks guys!

Exhaust looks great.

In for the sound clip and hearing your impressions of the splitter after the next track day.

It sounds great. How loud is it (a bit tough to tell from the video)?

Wish I had a db meter to give you an accurate answer. It's loud. Refined through the 18" resonator and sport mufflers with lots of UEL character and deep tone, free of rasp and drone.

I'm fairly certain it's not over 98db at 50 feet, which is what it needs to stay under to run at AMP.

You going to be at Barber February 27th? I can't remember. I just last night got approved to be an instructor under the guidance of another instructor. Time to buy a Chatterbox.

Love the build!

I'd block off part of your radiator during cold/street driving. Cylinder wear increases exponentially with lower temps. That's why it's best to get the engine up to temp by driving with low throttle and low rpms vs idling up to temp.

The lower temp thermostat thing is a relic of the old muscle cars. Modern cars run much higher temp thermostats because we can effectively control the heat, and combustion is more efficient at higher temps.

It's a bit archaic (cardboard + spray paint + zip ties) but it's effective and takes all of a minute to install and remove.
