Also a spin out judging by the force of the dent on the door.

Yes. And traffic was not light at the time, so likely that would have caused other vehicles to become involved and hugely increased the chances of someone getting injured. All things considered, if I had to get hit, I got hit in a way that was "optimal," if there is such a thing.

Honestly, I was really glad my buddy was with me. He kept a really cool head. I just had to not talk with the girl who hit me to avoid saying or doing anything negative.

Glad things are progressing as they should. did you end up getting burritos after the CHP took all the info?
I remember my first collision... it was a tree on my way to get a hot deli sandwich for lunch while in the middle of a snow storm. Sitting in my garage staring at my mangled front end - best and most depressing sandwich I have ever eaten.

Of all the frs' and brz's that got crashed into by someone else, did any of them have a louder exhaust? I could see a few of the aftermarket catbacks getting the driver next to u's attention. Catless folowed by straight pipe and she would've noticed u over her radio or bluetooth or anything lol. Loud pipes save lives?
