I'd leave it stock. Though, tunes do have other benefits like launch control if you are MT.

have a read of the basic bolt on mods guide link below its a decision you have to make as to if a tune is worth the $500, oft is very saleable second hand, you have to flash your stock tune back though, you woyld only loose mabe 100 if you decided it was not worth it on stock car. stock car on petrol about 10 hp power increase better midrange arround 4000 smoother idle their is no big hp gains on thse cars with tunes and simple mods |

Maybe I missed it buy has anyone used AEM Infinity yet? If so did you have to keep the factory ecu for factory items like Guages, ac cruise control etc
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk Edit: is there a plug and play harness or did you have to make your own

is it possible to download a tune for ecutek? i am tuning my own car and would like to have an idea of what others have done to their tunes. i am new to tuning and i am only changing a little at a time and testing it before i make additional changes. but it would be nice to see if im moving in a similar direction as others or not.

Jaden Shit we converted all of our servers and built our network at work in Linux because of MS licensing B.S. Most people aren't aware that any network that uses MS servers has to pay MS a fee every year for EVERY computer that accesses the servers... Just like you can sell your Ecutek dongle, but you can't sell your license, anyone who buys your cable has to buy a new license. |

Hello all,
I am from bangladesh. My 86 has Greddy T518z Turbo kit installed and tuned by Greddy. To tune again i have to install new ecu because previous ecu is locked by previous tuner. I have replaced my ecu with a used one which one i bought. After looping 3 and 14 pin of the OBD port and pressed 2 times the start button. I have waited for 30 mins. Then tried to start the car but its not starting, its like ignition self is trying but throttle body is not starting. What problem can be. is my new bought ecu bricked or that does not have turbo map , thats why car is not starting. Also i have oft. I have to tune my 86 again according to our country fuel grade. Can anyone recomand any good tuner who can help me to tune overseas. Thanks Last edited by saikat.saha; 03-11-2018 at 05:55 AM. Reason: Typing mistake |

Are you running a non-OEM MAP sensor and are you on the standard tune? If the answer is yes to both of those then the car won't start. You will need to change the tune to reflect the MAP sensor or put the OEM sensor back on.

Forgive me for resurrecting, but all the greedine... er uh "licensing" has me confused. I'm boosting my BRZ with a turbo setup of my own design and want to run E85, maybe even convert to SD as well. So obviously I'm looking for a tuner that's capable of all that fun stuff.
However, I'd consider myself somewhat experienced with tuning and would like to do all my own datalogging, map editing, etc. But Im not going to pay everytime I want to simply reflash the ecu, nor become some registered master ultimate jedi tuner just to edit my own maps. And I have no interest in OTS cookie-cutter maps that I cant tinker with. Could anyone point me in the right direction please? Much appreciated if so! |
