Torque App - IAM replacement?
I'm switching to a bluetooth + tablet + torque app setup to give my OFT a break. I know there isn't anything equivalent to IAM on torque. If I know my typical timing advance at say, idle once the car is warmed up, would I be able to tell a difference if the IAM had dropped below 1? Right now the lowest advance I see is 10 (ranges from 10-12 at idle). If the IAM had dropped to .8, would I see a new low of 8?

It doesn t work like that
first a 0.8 AM (AM =Advance multiplier, IAM = initial advance multiplier (set in the tune)) it would mean that 80% of the Knock Corr A table will be added to the Base Timing B table to make the final total timing, and the OTS maps usually have Knock Corr A table that starts to add timing only from 0.4-0.5 of engine load or more also at idle there are SOOO many compensations that you cant look at the idle timings for this |
