SCCA AutoX classes?
Hey everyone.
Reading through the SCCA handbook is like reading stereo instructions authored by lawyers. I am (and have been) under the impression I belong in Street Modified (SM), but I just read about a boosted FRS in Street Touring Under (STU). I went to the ST section of the "manual" but saw nothing in reference to forced induction. But I'm still asking myself: "Am I properly classed?" Any input would be appreciated. I'm supercharged, stock wheels/tires (until next year), only suspension mods are springs and rear LCAs. Those are the high notes, feel free to ask questions. |

Some regions take a "who cares" attitude in classing, and that's probably why they let that car run in STU. It just does a disservice to everyone when that happens, like yourself, due to confusion it generates, "but they did it! Why can't I?"
But you are right with your initial thought... you're in SM. --kC

The Edelbrock is very competitive in STU.
In fact, it carries a heavier weight minimum than a Jackson Racing kit... |
