If people want to go play at The Ridge we could split the groups:

Group 1: Those that are going to go play at the track
Group 2: Those that are going "on a drive"

The 2 groups can meet in the evening at 4-6pm at The Ridge and maybe do a dinner or something after.

There are 2 options are for tracking events on Saturdays at The Ridge.

Turn 2 Lapping: Sept 22nd.

Ridge Racing School: Sept 29th
http://ridgeracingschool.com/schedule/

Ridge Racing School has 2 groups: 1 for those with previous tracking experience (High performance day) and 1 for those with no previous experience (Ridge Driving experience = More $$ as you have an instructor all day).

So is the date set for the 16th? I'm in Victoria that weekend, only free one right now is the 8th/9th. Guess I just might have to catch the next one..

I think that for this first meet we shouldn't try to get too complicated or expensive. The goal for this first meet is just to put faces to forum names. Meeting, taking some photos, maybe a short cruise or fun FREE event and then everyone can head home.

Then, down the road, we can plan something a little more comprehensive.

And again, Shelton would add an extra 100 miles round trip for us Portlanders, so having a central location for this first meet is important so that we can include as many people as possible.

The date is not carved in stone, either... if we have to push this out a week or two so that more people can fit it into their schedules then that is fine.

How about the last day of September, the 30th? That adds an additional two weeks of planning time for those who can't make it.

OK, I will let this hang for a couple more days to see if anyone has any objections to the 30th... that will give people more time to plan.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 30TH - WHY CAN'T YOU MAKE IT, PEOPLE?

I agree. Free is good and central location is key.

I'm out on the 30th. I'll be competing/racing at Pacific Raceways in Kent; which explains my ulterior motive for suggesting it. It's FREE to come watch and check out all the cool race cars. What better place to congregate eh?

I'm just trying to get everyone together from Portland and Seattle... but if the location is too far in either direction then people aren't gonna show. This meet should be in Centralia on the 30th with a short cruise afterwards.

@rice_classic, sorry you can't make it man... but you better next time!

Sounds good, I liked the idea of driving to the coast ish and then us north guys can go north on the 101 or whatnot, and you south guys can go south. But I am down for whatever. After 2500 miles of daily driving non sense in downtown seattle, although I am happy with the AT through all that, I can't wait to get on a road for more than a mile without a signal light.

Maybe we should start taking a head count of who can and can't make it? Throw out your RSVP and I will add the list to the front page.

Just post if you are going, if you can't make it or if you are a maybe.
