You know the factory sensor cannot read richer than 12.1 right? So your probably richer than that and the sensor is just flat lined. Or are you using a wideband sensor?

Either way it is advisable to reset the ecu when you change maps due to knock correction. It will clear learned corrections and fuel trims that my have stacked up with the previous maps.

+ and - is just more or less fuel or more or less timing most aggresive map would be fuel - and timing + play around with the settings to try and find tge map that works best for you!!

Is it really necessary to reset the ECU when switching maps? I only ask because considering that this is a piggy-back device, does the ecu really need the same learning curve as with other mods? I really don't know for sure, so if anyone does I'd appreciate any insight.

ECU reset

nakamur21... thanks for the post.

No, there's no requirement to reset the ECU when switching maps. We do all the necessary closed loop tuning so there's no reason/advantage to resetting the ECU.

Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions.

Cheers

Yesterday I randomly started getting a P0102 CEL code(MAF circuit low voltage), and I can feel the throttle jerk. Has anyone else gotten this before? I'm have been trying out the Perrin CAI map because I have a custom made CAI but its based off an Injen intake. I guess I should go back to the Injen maps? Weird that it JUST started yesterday and I have been running the current Perrin map for a few seeks.

BTW, this is the best product I have run that corrects the ECU programming.....I find it more flexible than other "tuners" I have used in the past like HyperChip or Edge products. The expandability is the best part, along with the fact that I can go from one car to the next and all I need to do is load maps (or head down to my local tuner and have a map made).

Complaints, one.......I hate having to agree not to stare at the Flux every time I start the car, why cant it just boot to the last screen it was set at?

Is there anyone in the Northeast US doing Unichip tuning? I live in NH and would be willing to travel to NY, CT, MA or VT for a specialist that could build me a couple of custom maps.

Got a CEL after ~500miles with a Unichip. About to re flash the Unichip after work today and if that doesn't fix it I'll take it into an Autozone or something to get the OBD code. Makes me a little nervous... Hopefully it's just running a little lean or something.

EDIT: have codes, running rich and TDC -- P0172 P117B... Any advice from anyone here?

Are you using a neutral map or have you messed with the timing/fuel at all?

Neutral 92 all drop-ins map. Only other "mod" (if you can even call it that) is a K&N drop-in.
