Hey guys, looking to buy some new tires. Any advice on what to get and what has good performance? I'm still on stock wheels. Im probably going to have to wait to get new ones sadly

Can depend what you use the car for. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is a pretty ideal summer street tire for these cars.

On stock wheels, probably should. You can try going to a 225, but not sure it will be an improvement. You get a tiny bit more surface area in tire itself, but the contact area won't change much unless your wheel is wider too. Going to make the odometer very slightly off and slightly negative effect acceleration too. Just switching to a proper performance tire will be worlds of difference and have a larger contact area than stock tires even though they are the same 'size' because of the profile of the tire.

If you can afford the 4S do it.
I have a set in the stock size and they're night and day difference.

My second go to for budget are the Firestone Indy 500s. Great dry performance tire and decent in wet.

I live in Austin TX. I don't drive aggressive. I want better performance for my car. I'm not trying to put it on the track ever.

Daily driver (which you said you are): Michelin Pilot Sport

Occasional/weekend driver: Just about anything else

The Michelin's are great every day tires, but I do find it WAAAAAY harder to put her sideways like I did on the stock tires. But when you're driving to work on any 'ol day and it's pouring rain out, you'll be glad you have the Michelins... Or at least, I am.

IMHO, YMMV (literally), etc etc

Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Stock size. Best upgrade and the one thing I wish I did earlier. Nice and sticky and you can still break loose if you want without much effort.

If you don't want to spend what the MPSS cost, and I wouldn't blame you in the slightest if that's the case, I enjoyed the Continental Extreme Contact AWS a lot but didn't get the life out of them I wanted. Now I have the General G Max AS05's on and they really are great. I've driven in every possible condition other than snow because I was out of commission last winter and have been happy with them, they're pretty amazing in heavy rain too. I know that a couple of other guys here are running them and appreciating them like I am. At ~15k miles so far they are wearing very very well so I'm hoping that 30-35k is easily attainable.

215/45-17 on stock 7" wheels for sure.
If no freezing-weather/snow/ice usage likely, Summer tires generally have more ultimate dry *and* wet grip than all-seasons. Which category of summer tires depends on your wants/needs/usage:
*Generally*
Extreme Performance (short life, max grip, great for track)
Max Performance (more reasonable life, great grip, more water-channeling capacity/hydroplaning resistance)
Ultra High Performance (still longer life, less ultimate grip, also good water-channeling)

Go to Tire Rack website and review test results and customer survey results to get an idea of relative differences between different make/model tires.
