Smile Anyone in Portland/ SW washing have a Perrin 3" catback I can hear?

Hello! I am currently saving up some money to buy a Perrin 3" catback.

Would like to hear it in person. Preferably on a stock car.

If you have a AVO turbo or a Jackson Racing supercharger that will be cool as I do plan to go FI later on and would like to plan ahead with my purchases. Currently leaning towards the AVO turbo so that why I would like to hear the 3" first.

Will treat you to a coffee of your choice

Thanks

Edit: missed a couple letters in the title *SW Washington

How loud is it with the tomei header and nameless fp/op? I watched your dyno video it sounds like its pretty loud.

I have a Perrin 3" with a JDL UEL header and 2.5" overripe and frontpipe. It's loud when I want it to be but pretty quiet when you're just driving normal.

Not sure if it was the same setup in the video, but, hope that helps!

I had the 3" one before trading it to hapaone for his 2.5 resonated.

THere was too much drone in the cabin for my taste. Otherwise, it was loud and sounded bloody awesome!

AM running catless but has a resonator also in the FP/OP combo from Ultimate Racing (highly recommended) that helped a bunch in the drone and quieting it down overall a little bit.

I'd agree^

I traded my 3" to Chen for his 2.5" because even with stock header the drone of the 3" was a bit much.

The 2.5" with a catless header, nameless resonated + catted fp/op isn't bad at all.

Do you plan to turbo/supercharge the car in the future? Would the 3 inch only benefit the turbo and not the supercharger right?

I had the 3" resonated on my car, with stock everything else, and it sounded perfect to me, and I didn't get any drone. I added a catted 2.5" front pipe later on, and it was a little louder, but still no drone. I turned off the cold start, and that helped a lot! Did you guys have the non resonated?

LOUD!

Most catbacks will not be too loud. But if you don't want a neighbor hating your early morning cold start, do not change header or front pipe.

I have a Tomei header, Perrin OP, Berk FP and TRD Catback... it's REALLY loud. My neighbors hate my car but at least they know that I actually race this car so it has a purpose.

Stick to catback only if you can. And BTW, you don't need a 3" when a 2.5" will give you the same performance if your car is NA.
