The reason why they are slow is because its a tuner car. If you want a fast car car make it if you just want a good well rounded sports car dont do anything.

I want to do a 50 shot too. I have a 20lbs bottle that has been sitting for a few years that was supposed to be for my other project.

Just want to fix a few bits of your build.

The oil system in this engine will not support 9000 rpm. 8200 is as high as you can go without extensive and highly impractical modification.

3 inch exhaust will not help you with your build. It will make less power than a properly tuned 2.5. I can explain why if you want (there are builds where 3in. is a great idea. Nitrous and high compression with no FI is not that build).

You're right about the stock intake manifold. Something will have to be done about that. The FBM manifold is developed already, and will not help you with a naturally aspirated configuration. The Velox/Ft86SF manifold did not initially see favorable results NA.

Axles fine. Driveshaft unnecessary.

Also clarifying the term "build thread." those go in the "members car journals" subforum.

I have been looking at an element Tuning engine and they do oil system work that will allow the car to rev upto 9k rpm. The 3" exhaust is incase I end up going turbo, if I go that route I dont want to buy all new componets, but I want to get the most out of this car with just nitrous before I do anything else. Thanks for the input.

Update on the nitrous car. Just got up on the Dyno with a 75 shot. Fuel solenoid went out before I could do a full test. When I get that fixed I will be posting another update.

Unfortunately my car is down for a little bit. I am having a fuel pressure problem. My fuel solenoid for my nitrous injection is lagging and causing me to lean out. My fuel pressure is to high since I installed a dw300c fuel pump. I'm going to rewire my kit and install a fuel pressure regulator to drop my fuel pressure below 70 psi so my solenoid will operate correctly. More info coming soon.

Is there any new smoke? Throwing codes? Any oil on the ground? At first listen it sounds like a horrible exhaust leak. But without knowing the full picture it is hard to diagnose.

are you able to tell if the sound is coming from the valve cover or not? only things i can thing of with that sound is either valvetrain or exhaust, and unless you ripped off half the exhaust without knowing I kind of doubt it is that. if you can't figure out where the sound is coming from try using a big screw driver as a stethescope to locate the sound. I know some of the 13s(if you have a 13 that is) have some rocker issues, but do you know when this started happening?
