Took a drive to visit "District 12", from the Hunger Games movie, aka the abandoned Henry River Village. Unfortunately they don't allow visitors anymore, and we heeded the no trespassing signs, and security cameras.

This was 2 1/2 weeks ago. Last nice day before the snows hit in the PNW. Washed and waxed, parked in the garage to wait until the weather improved.

Then a week ago, weather was forecast for a nice sunny day. Outside thermometer read 37F. Cruising along on the way to work at only a slightly brisk pace. Uh oh, icy patch!!

Now I'm sad.

I walked away without a scratch or a bruise. (Except maybe a bruised ego...)

Insurance paid and it's getting fixed but I really doubt it will ever be the same. I think I'll use this as an excuse to feed my ADD and find a new favorite car. I hope I don't regret it! I suppose I can always go for another 86 if I don't like the next thing.
