Here's a link to the PDF showing mechanics how to properly accomplish the recall procedure.

I think it looks sexy and mean as hell. Much better than the lame aftermarket tongue options.

Hey T! Long time!

All I know is I had the recall work done in March '19, and the engine started knocking Yesterday (6/8/19). Not happy. Car was perfect BEFORE recall. Npow, I'm worried it might be a mechanical total.

Recalls can be hokey. You bring in your car, drop it off for however many hours. You leave it in someone else's care , who the heck knows what the technician(s) will do to it. That's the reality.

The sad truth is, your most likely to get a tech that's going to slam and jam the repair out because it's warranty work. Warranty work doesn't pay shit from what I've been told and the tech is going to cut corners to save time. You will be extremely lucky to get a tech that will do the repair by the book and take his time. If I had a recalled car, I'd take my chance and not have the recall done. It was a very small percentage of failures to begin with, and with the recall work done, your almost guaranteed to have a blow engine after the recall.
