I put on the Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds from my old Volkswagen CC. 17", 235/45 so a bit bigger than the original tires. It handled alright but I got stuck in a few places when I had to stop the car for traffic lights. Had to turn off traction control to gain some momentum.

People were getting stuck going up hill(if anybody knows the big hill on community drive), stuck on the highway and im sure they were cursing me out when my little car was just passing them by like it was nothing. There were some moments where the car felt like it wanted to go sideways but with the racerom traction control it was so easy to correct myself that there were no real scary moments. With some really good all season tires this car should not really be an issue in the snow.

you sir, are a very brave man.

Trust me i know..My job mandated us to stay and then took the mandate off. So around 11:45 last night i said i would give it a try. Going up hill was the hardest part but driving on highway thru almost two feet of unplowed snow(if u tried the expressway or 95 last night u know what im talking about) this little car proved itself. My tires are pretty bald on top too due to all the burn outs and 0-60 runs so im sure all season tires would have done me some real justice.

General Altimax Artic had no problem getting through this.
A very worthwhile investment.

For people running winter wheels, did you add any lbs to your trunk for extra traction?

This is a good one.... at one point I went out there and realized I hadn't grabbed my mail yesterday. It was ruined... fortunately it was junk mail.
