True, but key-less entry means just hope in and press clutch and button, and on a sports car thats light no one will waste the money and weight on actuators to "omg open the door"

What's also bothering me a lot lately about the car is the stupid 5x100 bolt pattern! Talk about limiting you wheel options. It would've been nice to have a 5x114.3 so that I could swap wheels with my mr2. Quite annoying. Why they just didn't go with the infinitely more popluar 5x114.3 is beyond me.

Makes sense to me when you consider that Subaru did most of that design, and they reused some parts from other models (IIRC we have WRX brakes)

The bolt pattern and the hub diameter and offset are standard Subaru, and the majority of 16"+ Subaru wheels from the past 15 years will fit without any spacers or adapters or rings.

I suppose the aftermarket offerings are a bit slimmer in 5x100 as AFAIK most other Japanese and American cars are 5x114.3, but it's not as if Subaru picked 5x100 just to spite us, they've been using it for a long time, on just about every model except non-2004 STIs.

I love my FRS.
People complaining about power need to remember they only paid $26k for it not $40k.
My 2003 celica gts was over $35k, 10 years ago and it certainly wasn't any better than the FRS.

I guess. Just seemed like we got shafted with the Corolla and Celica parts bin. Just would've been nice to have the 5x114.3. Sucks that both my cars can't even interchange wheels unless I get dual drilleds (which are usually lower end wheels). Oh well.

(edit: too mean spirited)

how the hell did something cost that much in Canada 10 years ago?

Overreact much? Even 10 years ago, $18k US was never $35k CAN. And are you referring to base model, or GTS? For such an angry post, you certainly provide almost no information as to what you are citing. Is your blood sugar low or something?

As far as the 5x100 thing, I've seen a lot of wheel manufacturers making unique configurations lately with size and offset. I honestly think it's because of this car. With how popular this car is, they're trying to keep up with the demand

(scroll down for pricing) When you buy a car in Canada you use Canadian dollars, sorry I didn't realize this forum was only for American assholes!
New pricing for a 2003 Celica gts trd in Canada for those who seem to know more about this than me.
