Try narrow size 9 feet. I still can't reliably reach the gas from the brake without my foot slipping off the brake pedal.

It's more about my feet being narrow rather than the size.

I am lucky enough to work in a company with an F1-standard workshop (literally), I used some fancy 3M helicopter tape : http://www.3mdirect.co.uk/p-2893-3m-...91cm-roll.aspx

I added just enough to have a tight assembly even without the pin in place.

if its an aesthetic thing im a little confused since i dont know how often you would be looking down there. if its a function thing, i never had the issue with the brz. i just bent the pedal in my miata to get the feel right. for some reason the miata is the only car where it felt odd to me.

Okay so a quick feedback on this wider pedal...

Like I said, I was fine heel-and-toeing with the stock pedals. Not the best set-up I got to drive, but it was OK...
Now I don't know if it's just me, but with the rather steep angle my ankle has to take, slippery wet shoe soles would make the whole process a lot trickier. I had one or two moments where things didn't go as planned because my foot slipped.
Anyway, the wider pedals is a lot safer for heel-and-toe with wet shoes. With the same move as with the stock pedal, you do cover a greater area of the gas pedal. Definitely feels more sure-footed.

That's really good to hear. It sounds ridiculous but my feet don't turn inwards very far (anatomically speaking), and the rotation I get is totally outwards facing (as in inner ankle against a wall if you were facing one) - probably from all the rock climbing and other stuff I've been doing haha.

I have the same problem, which is why I heel toe "backwards" - my heel is on the brake and my toes blip the throttle. It works well for me and it gives me more confidence when getting on the brakes hard and downshifting.

EDIT - After actually paying attention to what I do, it's more like the left side (inside) of my right foot modulates the brake pedal while I blip the gas pedal with the left side (outside) of my foot.

Would anyone happen to have a picture of the back side of the 78101-20150 pedal?

Cool, that's what I thought. I just don't understand what is this stopper that is supposedly missing on the 78101-20150 pedal? Looks to be there in the picture above?

Cusco works fine, but just a bit expensive.

The problem is that the housing in the new pedal is a little too big for the cylindrical beam of the throttle itself. Like 2mm maybe. So you have to find a way to fill that. I used helicopter tape, others used something else.

Thank you so much! Sorry to be such a pain with all the questions. You have been such a big help with this, I owe you a beer if you are ever in the states...
I ordered mine last night. Building up the diameter of the throttle shaft should not be a problem at all. Thanks again for the help!!

No worries man, that's what a message board is for
For further help, you might want to check this thread, on the French speaking GT86 board : http://gt86france.forumpro.fr/t923p45-talon-pointe

The pictures alone could prove helpful. If you run into trouble when installing, don't hesitate to PM me or something.

I've found that the shoe you're wearing helps with heel toe as much as the pedal.
I have a pair of speed cats that refuse to touch the throttle because the sole has a weird shape.
A pair of chuck taylors do wonders since the wall is solid and little ankle twisting is required.
Plus it's one of those rare shoes with a thick sole and great pedal feel. Also try the Onitsuka Serrano.
