They are pre production units before the legal team influenced PDev in consideration of the floor mat incident.

I on the other hand, did not fit perfectly - under the dash during the install, that is.

I have done "Ultimate pedals" in two cars now and I love them. In my RX-7 I have my "Don't Panic" logo on the brake pedal. They can customize the shape of each pedal if you want. smooth gas pedal, grippy brake etc, etc. They curve them perfectly for the car.

http://www.ultimatepedals.com/

I would wait untill you've driven the car to see if you a little extention for heel/toe, or a lot, or none.

Interesting, as the Canadian FR-S brochure shows the "heel-toe"pedals, and was actually stated on the literature (p. 7/12):

Not sure if this will actually be in the production model.

Also note the black RPM guage vs. the white.

The models I have seen in Canada did not have the wider pedal.

The pedal change was made very late as in about early last year, but product catalogs already had gone into pre-production so some images are pretty old with the original pedals. All newly published catalogs after January are done with proper pictures, though some might sneak back on the catalogs... But as for production, none are the old style.

I looked at the back side of the pedal and it was hard to tell with it in the car, but it looks like other common Toyota wider pedals should fit the rod, the only issue is that the Zx6 has what looks like a pedal stopper built into the pedal that would not be there if using the 78101-20150 pedal. The 2010 Camry SE had this pedal with a stopper on the back of it, but the pedal is only available as an assembly (78110-33060). Still it seems like coming up with some sort of stopper wouldn't be too hard.

Still, I had no real trouble heel-toeing in the car with the smaller pedal.

Not that I actually planned to do any heel-toeing, but that pedal definitely looks cooler (more sporty)
