have these engines proven they need this? I haven't noticed any crank case pressure or blow by problems that would suggest you need this. And my car has as many track miles as anybody else on here. Without boost, I don't see a reason to buy this...

I'm with you, but supposedly when they took apart a motor with 5k miles they found oil covered piston heads.

This is from a stock FRS motor with only 5000 miles.

I used to work at the Discount Tire there in Vista, It's worth it in the long run, put in dollar to value 319.00 for a lifetime. of not having your car pistons look like this. And this picture came of a car with less than 6k

They just started shipping i suggested the group buy the other night so we can get them cheaper. Vendors usually don't offer group buys unless requested why would they want to sell their products cheaper if they don't have to?

Show us a picture of a piston from an FA20 after 5000 miles WITH an AOS and you might make your case to me.

This.

you can still read the 2-5 engraving on that piston and see thats not so much buildup as a light dusting from the combustion process. These engines are NOT going to fail in 10k miles from carbon build up. In fact, these will do better than most DI engines as we have dual fuel entry. The gas being port injected helps keep residue off the valves, which is the typical trouble area of direct injected cars. I think carbon buildup isnt going to be a big concern on these motors.

Let me share with you the back deck of the piston I showed you earlier, when carbon builds up so much on the piston crown, that heat transfers to the deck. So in the internal workings of a internal combustion machine a burnt piston deck joins the other side where heat started and creates a hole in your piston.

I'm sure Crawford could do that for you.

He does have a AOS on his car AND plans on building it

I'm interested in seeing comparison pics between 2 stock N/A engines - 1 w/ an AOS and 1 without.
