Thanks, they are cheaper if you add them when you order instead of buying them later through parts. This way you get whatever deal you are getting and can negotiate on the whole thing.

That's what I did with my front lip, they ended up adding it at invoice and threw in free wheel locks

But wouldn't the labor cost a lot more than just buying the parts and installing them yourself? Or is that not how it works? lol

When you add them when you order the car, it includes it in the cost of the part plus a really small amount for labor. The front lip, for example, costs around $375 to order from a dealer parts department, and $399 to add to the car at build. If you order it and have the dealer install it, its close to $600.

I'm sure its similar for all of the other parts.

I can't tell if @thewrathchilde got the performance package from his photos, but part of the cost of the PP is the wider wheels. If he added the STI wheels, does he still get the PP wheels or is that cost subtracted from the total build?

gonna be a long three weeks while I wait.
Damn, for a split second I thought that was a PP car with the black, series yellow wheels, thinking maybe they switched colors mid run, but nope.

That's what I thought too! Then I noticed the STI center cap and 5 extra spokes on the wheels. Guess we.... "spoke" too soon..

Ha... ha...

His is a Limited. I don't think the STI wheels fit over the PP Brembos.

yeah, its a Limited. I went with the STI wheels instead of the PP. I initially looked at the PP because the wheels, coilovers, and brakes seemed like such an awesome deal but when I ordered it the interweb indication was that the PP package wasn't going to be available until later in the year.

At the time I decided to forgo the PP and go with the STI wheels even though it cost more and figured I could always change the brakes later if I wanted to. When I first started hearing peoples PP BRZs were going to be here the same time my car was I was a little disappointed but after seeing mine with the black wheels vice the grey wheels on the PP cars I know that (for me) I made the right decision.

My allocation number was 201702 with a delivery date of February 6th. I just got a call letting me know that my Series Yellow is in! Unfortunately, I'm unable to pick it up until late next due to work. It's going to be torture!

Yellow BRZ

So I've been lurking for the past month or so, I put down a deposit on a Yellow BRZ back within the first week of January and was originally estimated to receive it the last week of February. I was notified by the dealer that it arrived yesterday and picked it up today. I haven't had a chance to get good pictures of it but here are a few at least. My first new car and very excited to see what a car that's not a civic or camry feels like . Sorry all these are at the dealership but I was too excited to take pictures with it after (other than a crummy one in my parking deck which I didn't post). Let me know if there is something else I can do for people waiting on their PP cars or Yellow editions like some pictures or clarifications based on the one I have.
