ZN8 - GR_Stevenson's track build
Originally placed my order at DVN toyota at the end of January this year, waited 6 months without any update, luckily someone at Markville cancelled their order midway, so I had the chance to take delivery of this war machine at the end of August.
The goal of this build is to make it a daily driver that is capable of weekend track duty; the main focus of this car will be reliability as I will be driving this car all year round. Installed cusco knob and gas pedal. Initially, I tried to have both verus spacer and the pedal cover together, but such a combination is a proven failure, I removed the verus piece the second following day, heel & toeing felt much better.
The shift knob is way smaller and lighter than the stock piece, very nice. |

Acquired a brand new set of amuse r1 titan "souen" catback exhaust, could have used that money for fujitsubo or hks spec l2, but I can't resist the weight saving, and the aesthetic or burnt tip loll.

Oil change update:
I went to Apex at Markham for my second oil change on Feb 15, 2023. The first one was done at 3300km last fall, mostly highway driven and RPM was mostly staying around 3k to 3.5k, no excessive revving or sustained high RPM by any means, perhaps few pulls on backroads where I upshift at 6500 RPM, nothing crazy. I started to drive the car on a daily basis last Nov and changed the oil plus RTV clean up at 8317km, and this is what the tech at Apex sent to me. Needless to say, the robots at Subaru have the brain of a goldfish, and I would be lying if I said I was not worried. The car felt to be easier to rev up and more "powerful" after the clean-up, and no strange sound is coming out of the motor. Will my motor have any premature wear and damage? IDK. Will I be doing a blackstone analysis on my next oil change? You bet ya sweet bippy I will. Prob should've dropped the pan earlier or done the blackstone on my first oil change. |

Geez - glad you took the initiative and got the oil pan/pickup checked. That looks pretty bad compared to others I've seen (including mine around the same mileage ~5.5k).

Got my wheels ceramic coated and installed at my friend's shop, RS4's 235 is a little bit wider than I expected, and the car now looks like a monster truck, will have to dial in the height and alignment soon

Surprise from the UPS man!
Installed the new knob and strut tower bar, I got to say the knob from Blitz is way better than the Cusco one I used to have, just a wee bit heavier and the grip is right on point! Last edited by GR_stevenson; 04-13-2023 at 07:22 PM. |

How is the 17x9 +35 fitting? Thought that would be way too aggressive but doesn't look bad in the photos.

I fitted +35 up front and +42 in the back to avoid shaving the body, with the sacrifice of losing the ability to rotate the tires, both front and back are poking a little, but not excessive imo.

Poke should go away with about -2* camber and some lowering.
