That is going to be a real challenge.

I can see this if your mount has a clear cup. But most of the mounts I've seen have a plastic cup that goes over the suction cup for stability. That would block any lensing effect.

Absolute height is important to the DOT. So in the technical documents they'll put the absolute height. But for sales, they know we don't care about the antenna, so they put the roof height.

Anyone know if hill hold is on the car? I have seen numerous times in different threads that it would be but the manual has no word of it.

It doesn't look like it. The manual recommends using the E-brake.

The rev light is a real help with break-in. You can set it to 4000rpm so you get a little nag every time you pass it. It's what helped me get through break-in on my STI. (Averaged 20mpg city too! Never again though. )

Yea that's a bummer with the Hill Hold Assist not being there. I was one of the nay-sayers until my TDI, which has it, and it rocks. Back to e-brake manual assist.

Lol that's what I'm gonna have to do. Hopefully that will help me. Not to get too far off topic, but in the manual it says not to keep the engine at a constant speed for "a long time" when breaking the car in. Seems pretty vague to me. I might be picking up the car on a weekend and driving it back to school (330 mile trip). Would I be fine as long as I didn't use cruise control and varied my speed between say, 55 and 85? Not to mention there's some red lights, slowing down and merging onto other roadways, etc?

Yup, exactly how you do it. Don't use CC and just vary speed.

I'm not sure if it's just my fanboism or not, but this is prolly the best reading I've done in a LONG time. Pg. 264 as of my morning poop
