Aftermarket rear deck shelf

Looking for replacement rear decks, but so far the only one I've found was Password: JDM's carbon fiber ones ( http://passwordjdm.com/PasswordJDM-D...8647C2559.aspx ) Anybody else make these? I'm planning on moving the third brake light so I'm looking for the ones with the delete.

I've considered doing my own recover of the rear deck. Moving the 3rd BL up to the top of the window, and sealing off that annoying reflection/light leak, and then filling the deck with foam, sanding as desired, and recovering with whatever material is suitable. Half considered putting some speakers back there, which I may still do, since I'm planning on using the QP spots for some small 8" subs. (Have them in, but not powered. too much rattlyness until I have $ and time to completely build a proper box and dynamat.) Just speculating some ideas if you are going to take it out, might as well just recover it and move that PITA light

Absolutely beautiful part! I love how it better integrates the light, rather than the OEM light perch.

Did you get the Optional Clear Coated Finish?
Also wondering if this is pointless if I decide to tint the back window.

If you tint it black it would be kind of pointless, but then again you would know it's there and if you want it get it. Yeah i had it clear coated because i knew it would have direct sunlight on it all the time.

Mine was reupholstered by a professional shop. Matching carpet and holes filled in. Looks factory and it was pretty reasonable for price.

Love not having the brake light in the window when I look in the mirror.

i moved my brake light up too and i'm real happy with how it came out. i redid my own deck with some fabric adhesive and a bit of fabric that appears to match the roof liner. Good enough for me!

Exclamation

I received my amazing product from PasswordJDM, but there is a minor dent in the carbon. I have e-mailed them twice with no response and the damage is near impossible to photograph due to the glossy finish. All I want is at least a discount. Should I just forget about it? I'm sure once it is installed I won't even notice it.

Being that the rear deck from Password is pretty pricey. I would try and contact them. If it bothers you now it will be better to get a replacement instead of installing the damaged deck. Hopefully the can give you some sort of discount if you decide to keep it.

Any advice on installation? I'm starting my install now.
I have figured out how to remove the OEM shelf from the forums. Do I need to remove the OEM LED bar from the plastic housing and attach manually?
