Spots on paint after wash

Any ideas on what these spots could be? Noticed those a few months ago and found some more today. Thinking its from poor waxing or washing technique, but I'm not sure. Haven't tried clay yet, but the spots aren't rigid.

Thanks

Could be some kind of environmental deposit. Try clay or, if that doesn't get it, a light polish.

This happened on the bonnet of my zooki rock crawler.
Looks like dirt got into the paint.
I used meguiar's ultimate pre-waxing glaze polish to pull the dirt out and then rewaxed.

Clay, a bit of polish, and then wax immediately. stuff shouldn't stick to your paint like that if you have a coat of wax on there.

Then after you clay, polish and wax go get it a ceramic coating on your car.
