You should get this thing, for no reason other than the fact that I am about to order one too: http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/trd-...over-1915.html

I wish I would've taken a screenshot, but when I ordered this, it was listed as "In Stock", but then the next day it changed to "Ships From Factory".... So now I am waiting on it to ship from Japan

You have so may other classy "OEM+" style parts that it's almost a no brainier. If you are going for a show car, then I would definitely recommend it.
Primary reason I'm getting it is because my car lives outside, and I'm tired of leaves and other debris collecting in that area under the sides of the trunk.

Ok so Saturday I completed a few things I've been wanting to get to...
I had a previous issue of coolant seeping at the lower radiator hose on the radiator side... I thought I had handled it before but turns out that I didn't... so yesterday I tried repositioning the clamp and re-torqueing it... drove it to verify but it was still seeping... So I decided to add a second clamp because the clamping force of the original clamp (at specified torque) was causing the end of the hose to flare out. The second clamp seems to have fixed the issue... Perhaps the new clamp by itself would also have fixed the issue but since it is working as is... I'm leaving it alone. I also fixed an issue with my reverse camera's image being reversed... all I had to do was snip a wire. Good to go. I had taken the occupant weight sensor out during the week... I will have to come up with a way to give the Bride cushion's velcro something to hook to. As of right now, the sensor blocks off the loop so the cusions are not secure. I have an idea on how to fix this small issue. Here is a shot of my passenger side seat rail... finally opened up the box. I changed my oil as well... I had ordered the right oil filters for my 86 but received the incorrect ones... so while that is being taken care of, I went to the Toyota dealership and purchased a Toyota filter. Up until today I had only used the Subaru filter. And finally... I washed and waxed my 86...I still need to clean my wheels, wells, undercarriage, and, engine... mainly just wiping off dust... lol I'm still waiting on my harness bar to be painted... I did add the side mounting panels for the Bride seats to the 'to paint list' ...I'm going to have them painted gold... actually, I'm probably going to pick up my part from my painter and have my powder coater guy do the pieces instead. Tired of waiting. __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix |

Finally got this back... the color match is pretty spot on.
I wanted to incorporate some of my engine bay color theme into my interior... I think this will do the trick. I also had the side plates that hold the Bride seats to the rails painted Beatrush gold. Hope to have installed pics soon... __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix |

@ichitaka05 What I'm going to do is use a sheet or two of very thin adhesive-backed felt over the top of the occupancy sensor. The felt should provide enough grip by acting as the loop for the hook on the bottom of the cushion. On the underside of the occupancy sensor I'm going to place a few pieces of adhesive-backed velcro... well just the hook side. I feel confident this idea will work.
I'll figure out how I will mount the module the occupancy sensor connects to under the seat once I've assembled the seats. I'm waiting on the side plates to be painted Beatrush gold. __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix |

Tonight I got around to modifying the occupant weight sensor... I basically added adhesive-backed felt paper to the top of the sensor and the hook side of the velcro on the other. The cushions now hold tight. Hopefully I do not come across any issues with the sensor.
I can live with the foam showing... I needed to keep as much ribbon cable length as possible because I have not thought out the relocation of the occupant sensor module. I need the seat mounted to the rail for that... __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix |

I finally installed my Beatrush gold painted Essex harness bar. The install went fairly smooth... for the most part the install is a two person job.
My thoughts on the Essex harness bar are that it is a high quality part with exceptional fitment...I'm very happy with this purchase. I just need to adjust and set my Quick-Latch posts and then snug them up to complete my rear seat delete install. After I set my posts and complete the rear seat delete install... I'll be moving on to installing my Bride seats and HPI harnesses and then the Mishimoto aluminum coolant overflow tank. __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix Last edited by zeal86; 04-23-2017 at 12:05 AM. |

And also you will be installing the TRD aero stabilizing trunk cover you bought when I did. Sweet.

Rear Seat Delete Mod is now complete! Very happy with the results! Pics are not great but I'll get some better ones later. Next up are the Bride rails and seats and my Mishimoto aluminum coolant overflow tank installs.
My design incorporated a fold down seat back panel... I'll take a pic of that later... __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix Last edited by zeal86; 04-23-2017 at 11:54 PM. |
