Looking for CSCS Round 1 Pics?

I'm looking for some pics if anybody has them. I was competing yesterday an forgot my GoPro (3:30 was a stupid time to wake up) and would love some on track shots of my car if anyone has some. Check my Avatar for my number and look.

Thanks!

Look up Skootermedia, I've seen a few other people sharing his pictures of their cars already.

Shhhh... No one needs to know.

I may have given him too much room and watching him instead of the track. Caught her pretty quick though. Wish I had remembered my GoPro

No offence, but that's a HUGE mistake. Caught or not it could've ended much worse for both cars.

IMO it's right up there with running the wrong layout of a track (skipping the kink), or going off and shooting back onto the track without stopping and looking first.

Yes it could of ended much worse, I did say it was my mistake and I messaged the guy about it and apologized. All good.

And there is no way that mistake is as bad as the other 2 you mentioned. It was my first time running the track and I misjudged the width of the straight. I wish I had my GoPro because the guys stopping into corners to let people go by and the spin outs in front of me were far worse than that.

I'm not going to continue to argue with you, but going off track because of not paying enough attention to what's in front/beside you is just as bad as going off and coming back on without looking, or missing a section.

In all cases you're unpredictable and going across the track near (almost into) traffic.

Yes, people stopping for no reason is also a huge mistake. Spinning is less so because generally the trajectory is more predictable and you shouldn't be that close up someone's bumper mid corner that they would hit you.

It wasn't the worst offence I saw in that same video (the full one), the guy that shot the video passed a car mid corner without a point/signal with no clue of if the car he was passing was paying attention or not.

I went off because of paying attention to what was beside me as we approached the braking zone for the last corner to make sure he had room. That was my fault for trying to be too courteous, lesson learned.

I didn't go across the track either. the video doesn't show it but the front pulled, back twisted and I stayed in my "lane" not clear across the track. It was close but not that close.

I'm still trying to learn the ways of the track as I'm new to competition and new to that track. That was also the 2nd session when it was still cold and wet (IIRC).

I'm not trying to argue, just trying to give the whole picture. I know you're involved in the racing world (all the lapping day posts and such) and want to make sure I'm not repeating mistakes.

And I'm not trying to be a **** or make you feel bad about it... just trying to impart just how serious it could have been.

If you're giving a pass it's your job to back off the gas and stay on line, it's the job of the person doing the passing to get by you safely.

Thanks for the tip. Now I know to leave the space to the guy passing.

The number of guys that didn't let off as I was going by was really frustrating.

I think the internet makes people read all comments negatively lol

CSCS doesn't have the best reputation for etiquette during time attack rounds, there has been numerous complaints about fast cars being driven slow holding up everyone... like a McLaren blocking everyone behind it

Will, for my serious lack of track knowledge (read as none) proper thing for that McLaren to do would have been to pull to one side of the track and wave those three (or more) cars past?

I'd be pretty embarrassed to be that driver and have 2 civics being ready to blow by me while I'm driving a supercar.
