Hella Fail

To those that only care about stance. This is why the rest of the world really, really "hates on" your style preferences. This may be an extreme example, but this car was simply put, a lethal accident waiting to happen.

Tire fitment that is unsafe and outside of the manufacturer's intent for the tire. Serious chassis damage due to the amount of lowering. ZERO suspension travel, making it extremely easy for the tires, which are already poorly fitted, to be shocked much harder than they are intended to while driving.

This is probably an extreme example, but it's likely not the only one. It's not just about the reduction in performance. It's about the potential danger cars modified like this pose to their occupants and those driving near them in other cars.

Flame away.

Doing this to the FRS/BRZ is a slap in the face to the engineers who designed such a well balanced car.

Bring this article to a VW forum and they will throw a fit.

I agree completely, but I've seen some that are way too low and requests on how to, "slam my FR-S" here more than once.

we are LOW but we did it right

Lowered the car 3" with a combination of tire size and custom suspension components that yield stock camber gain curves, lowered Center of gravity, corrected roll center, bump steer and stock travel on the suspension (though we do change the compression vs droop limits).

I was able to take the car to the local dealer and get side by side shots. We also had it out to the Redline time attack but showed up late and ran in the rain shower session...I did have a member here drive the car and get his impressions He can chime in if he wants to.

Low is one thing, but slammed in another.

'my cash, personal taste, dont hate' doesnt matter, you are still ruining a well functioning machine.

What was it that actually went in that video? Or did they just lose traction/control because the suspension was so messed up?

He was driving aggressively/dangerously and because it looked mildly moist and he has about 50mm of contact patch on each tire he lost control on the slightest of bends.

Looks to me like he hit an expansion joint in the road as well, which is probably what upset the car.
