Transmisión leaking and 4th gear not doing well

Hello fellow members,

What would I need to swap a cd009 to our platform?

I'm not really sure. These are the things that need to at least be sorted out:

CD009
Custom Transmission Mounts
Custom Adapter
Custom Driveshaft
Hammering
Shifter Position
TOB
Shift Fork Position

I don't know about the input shaft. Would it need to be machined? What type of clutch would work? Would a 370z pressure plate be needed to work with the input shaft, but a regular flywheel be needed for the 86's engine? Will the pilot bearing work or a new one found with a different inner diameter but the same outer diameter? Would a shift fork from the CD009 line up with the stock position for the clutch cylinder? Will the shifter line up with the stock location?

I haven't seen too many transmission swap threads, but if someone could sort out these issues then I'm sure there would be interest. I will be either rebuilding my transmission or rebuilding a donor, lightly-used transmission or considering a swap. I want a 6 speed and something that can reliably handle power upgrades up to around 500whp. I was thinking the CD009 or the S2000 transmission, but the CD009 would be the stronger choice, as I understand it.

I just saw a post on instagram that FBM released a kit for the BRZ/FRS. This link isn't it but it's something to look at and an idea on price. They didn't say how much yet that I know of, but I bet if you give em a call and ask they will give you some info.

I'm going to call them tomorrow. If they have a kit for the 86 I'll be buying one ASAP. Hopefully I can magically use my current carbon driveshaft

Unfortunately, no magic will help on that
