You don't have to **** around with them. Coilovers are a great product for three groups of people, those that want to race their car and will be taking advantage of the adjustability, those that want to make their car as low as possible, and those that want to be able to brag to their friends that they have coilovers. For those of us that don't care about those things, but want a street car that stays comfortable enough for the wife yet still stays composed and predictable at the limit a really good fixed perch damper would be outstanding. The problem is, that market is pretty small.

Also, SCCA Autocross rules mandate stock springs with any damper up to 2-adjustments. This generally means fixed perch. MCS is the only one I know that isnt.

Just out of curiosity, would RCE's T0's fit that rule. They have ride height and camber adjustment, but that's it.

Sorry, I guess I should have been more specific about "adjustment". The 2-adjustment rule is for damping adjustments, not alignment adjustments.

The rule says:

substituted providing that the number, type (e.g., tube, lever, etc.),

system of attachment and attachment points are not altered, except
as noted below. The interchange of gas and hydraulic shocks absorbers
is permitted. The following restrictions apply:

1. No more than 2 separate external shock damping adjustment con-
trols are allowed. This permits the use of shocks which originally
came with more than two external adjustments, which have been
converted to double-adjustables, only if the additional adjustment
controls have been permanently disabled (e.g., via welding, ep-
oxying, grinding off). Gas pressure adjustment is not considered
a damping adjustment.

2. Suspension geometry and alignment capability, not including ride
height, may not be altered by the substitution of alternate shock
absorbers.
Aftermarket strut housings are allowed provided that
they meet the Street category shock requirements defined herein
(i.e., that no suspension geometry changes result). This includes
the position of the steering arm attachment point in the case of
struts with integrated steering arms.

3. Adjustable spring perches are allowed, but the spring loadbearing
surface must be in the same location relative to the hub as on the
standard part. Shims may be used to achieve compliance.

4. The fully extended length must be within ±1” (±25.4mm)
dimension of the standard part.

+1 for the fixed perch Ohlins struts. Do want.

Any photos of/more info on the Sachs coilovers though?

I am interested to see how the bilsteins compare to the kw v2's and 3's and the price point on them, if you get a set tested out be sure to hit me up if they compare and have a decent price I for sure will be doing some heavy suspension work come late January into February can not make up my mind on coil overs though. I would like to keep the coil overs around $1500 or less though so pretty much v3's are out of the question.

I don't like your chances of getting a clubsport damper for less than $1500.

[QUOTE=Racecomp Engineering;2058128]RCE went to Indianapolis last week to attend the PRI trade show. It's similar to SEMA but different in that there's much more of a motorsports flavor. Everything from circle track to Formula 1 to touring cars...all good functional stuff. Myles went to SEMA this year as well and that's still a good show, but PRI is a more focused event for us.

I wish you would of stopped by our booth with the DSCsport/Tractive shocks 2610&2612 we had a fully active display with a Roehrig shock dyno Tractive is very interested in the BRZ platform and will be making shocks in 2015 for testing. Great show only had a few hours to walk the floor.

The Bilstein 2 ways will not be cheap...ballpark $4k. Maybe a little under.

Here is a picture from the show if you look at the monitor the hump is added only under compression based on velocity and external inputs in this case I used the Xbox 458 to add gas, brake, speed and steering modifiers as a demo.

It's a separate line from the MDS stuff. I think that's available too, but I'm not 100% sure.
