Install time trd sway bars?

Anyone have the install time for the trd sway bars to be installed at the dealer? Trying to not get over charged.

As far as labor time for the install, to my understanding toyota bills on a standard.
Like toyota says it takes 4 hours to install a sway bar so they charge you 4 hours of labor. If the tech actually installs it in 3 hours... they charge you 4 hours of labor.

They'll charge you 2 hours max.

If they won't lock that in prior to doing the work, go somewhere else

it took me about 3 hours. because i screwed up a few times on the front by putting the brackets on the wrong way numerous times.. but do it your self. actually pretty easy. I did springs on my last car, and I dont want to do it again, so I asked the scion dealer how much, they said about 900. lol

^^ Are you sure they didn't quote you $900 for springs + installation? There's no way they're charging 9 or 10 hours to install springs. A conservative estimate is an hour per corner.

no the guys there were idiots. I asked 3 guys and they all said idk, go ask that guy. So I find that guy, and he said its just like replacing the struts so ballpark was 800-900 so I said thats all I need to know and left. lol I dont know who would ever pay that much

Ramps or boards, hf socket set, hf wrench set, hf hex set, hf jack, and a propane torch for when those fucking one year old endlinks want to strip out will all cost you about half what the dealer will charge,
And youll have the tools for the next time you want to work.

That's such a pile of BS (on their part), they would DEFINITELY have a book rate for replacing a spring. Most dealerships will try to say 1 hour per corner, but that's REALLY conservative.

It took me about an hour for the rear end of my car, and that includes having to do it twice because I forget the dust boots until the shocks were already back in the car. Fronts took longer because the sway bar end links were seized and I didn't have any gas for my torch. Total time was like 5 hours including the time to take the fronts back apart to replace the endlinks (I installed the new springs onto the front struts with the struts still attached to the swaybar, HUGE pain). If they need 9-10 hours to just swap springs with a hoist, they shouldn't be allowed to put air into your tires

they already looked at me crazy driving up my brz with the sti body kit up into their parking lot but they have actually cheap prices on parts.. they give 10% discount with military id (thanks dad!) and so the parts are cheaper than what I found online.

Front bar takes longer to change than the rear, i did the rear in maybe an hour and a half, in an apartment parking lot. Car up on ramps, in and out of the apartment quite a few times for tools, etc. Front took longer, just because you have to drop the belly pans, drop the ARB mount pieces, then swap the bars. Also got interrupted by every car guy in the complex, wanting to know what I was doing, so that didn't help, lol. I did the front on a saturday afternoon, and then got up early before anyone would be awake to interrupt me on sunday.

Nothing hard about it, just do it.

Man reason for wanting to get a dealer to do it is bc its trd my suspension wont be voided. Just trying to see if anyone has an idea what a good dealer would charge for it

Rear bar takes about twenty minutes, front bar takes about an hour to an hour and a half in my opinion.
