I put down another pre-order with Round Rock Scion, where I'm also around ~7 in line. Let's see which one I get first

Just picked up my Asphalt MT from Champion Toyota. Had a great experience with Jim Lee there - highly recommended that you reach out to him if you're looking. When we got there he simply took us right to the car and let us take it for a test drive spin. He wasn't sales-y at all throughout the process and got us a great rate on our trade-in. Let me know if anyone has any questions about my purchasing process there!

Nice! Were you on the wait list, if so what #? I've been talking to Jim Lee for awhile there, but I think I'm pretty far down the list

Yeah, I was #4. However, everyone ahead of me is waiting for a Red and luckily I was looking to get an Asphalt MT so when this one came through it fell right to me. Got extremely lucky.

Awesome! I'm waiting for a Hot Lava, which seems to be a pretty unpopular color, so hopefully I get the first one they get :P

Grats again!

I'm sure Jim will get in contact once they get an ETA for yours - he let me know as soon as he had any info. You'll also notice that they didn't put the front plate on - didn't even need to request it . Plus, in case you didn't know the fine for not having a front license plate was dropped last legislative session so now you have no excuse to ruin the front end of the beautiful car.

Technically you're still required to have it but there's literally no punishment - they accidentally struck it from the law http://www.tmcec.com/public/files/Fi...s-in-texas.pdf . Since legislature only meets once every two years no punishment until at least 2013 and possibly later.

I have an idea my fellow austonians how about we meet up in front of either frost bank or the capitol and snap a group photo. I think that'll be a nice photo to add to the landmark thread. It'll be fun to slowly see all kind of cars turning into frs and brz.

Garsh0p i think you may get yours soon man cause hot lava has less competition than say whiteout or raven or asphalt

Sounds good! Probably can shoot the Capitol from the North side since it might be difficult right out in front. Not sure if there's also a parking lot where we could get the 360 bridge in the background, but that could be a good shot as well.
