Idler Pulley Noise

Hello all, recently my BRZ has been making a high pitched whine noise coming from the front. When you increase the RPMs the noise is more noticeable, and it doesn't matter if it's in neutral or in gear.

Took the belt off to rotate the pulleys and noticed 2 of the pulleys sounding different. Do the idler pulleys sound normal to you guys?

Video of noise:

Perfect example of a failed bearing.

Notice that all the others literally make no noise. If a bearing makes any noise at all, it is already toast.

Good catch.

Yep, even Bubba agrees with Ultramaroon (on this one), that bearing is shot.

(unless you're about to sell the car to someone you don't like, then just remove the pulley, pack it full of axle grease, slap it back on there - )

Replaced the idler pulley today and the noise is gone. Glad it was something simple to replace.
