Hand fabricated parts take time to make... when you're dealing with the nth degree of quality some times it takes longer to get them... plus dealing with vendors that are out of their control...

It says right there if you had bothered to read. It hasn't always been shown in mauve/purple because obviously people have trouble reading it at the best of times. Maybe JDL should get people to sign an acknowledgment saying they have read that.

"Please allow 4-6 weeks for completion of said parts. Build times are also subject to change without notice depending on current workload."

Yes, I read the policy that basically says "We will build you your part when we get around to it and if the date we originally told you changes, we will not notify you or keep you updated unless you ask."

All I am saying is if you say 4-6 weeks and its not, let people know. Don't leave them guessing. That's why this became an order status thread. People wanted to know.

While we are behind a bit its nothing ridiculous. We are doing are best to get each and every order done as soon as possible so we can move onto the next. Im sorry if you feel that way but I can assure you thats not the case. We have a workload list and both fabricators go down completing them in order received.

Again sorry if you feel that way and can assure you you are not being overlooked. As soon as I get it back from coating it will ship.

Maybe I just haven't had my snickers today. Waiting for car parts sucks.

Agree with @powerj2, Longer time is better quality. Like i said on my pervious post, i went to their shop and check it out, they are very organize. They are doing their best to get their part to you guys with good quality welding. Give them some room plus they just got back from the 86fest event!!

JDL has some of the best headers for this car. Its well worth the wait. My chrome UEL is still running strong a year and a half later. No cracks, no rattles. Love it.

I have 0 rasp with a catless UEL, JDL overpipe, and Invidia catted FP. Currently running the N1 with it.

Keep it 2.5" with a cat in the FP and a resonator in the catback and you will be fine. The second you remove the resonator is when things get nuts with rasp.

Just wanted to say I received my UEL from JDL last week after ordering in June. I love the header, it sounds great and made impressive gains after a tune from Drift Office (). That being said, I would never order from them again based on this experience. It definitely is not 4-6wks more like 8-12.

longer time does not equal better quality.
They are prioritizing their work orders and trying to make as many similar products at once as possible.. ie., batch headers. This way they can prep and gather equipment and measurements specific for that job. Its faster, easier and more time efficient this way.
this is why group buys can be offered at more of a discounted rate.
