I tried PlastiDip for the first time before putting my stock Forester wheels with snow tires on. I used the gold wheel kit from dipyourcar.

looks good. Did you tape off the lug nuts? Any tips on dipping with the wheels still on?

I did it with the wheels off, I'm pretty sure dipyourcar has posted videos on youtube showing how to do it with the wheels on the car.

Hey nice color! Was wondering what base color you went with since I'm about to get the same kit you did. I happen to have a gbs BRZ as well. I wanted to go for the STI BBS gold color but that isn't bad. At a guess I was going to try a white base.

thanks!

I will be dipping mine this week. I'm ganna 2 tone it since everyone is doing just 1 colour. I'm thinking of like the TE37SL style where 1 spoke will be red and the rest black. I will post pictures as soon as i am done

I used the black base, I'd guess that white would be more gold and less bronze but idk.

Dipped my wheels 2 tone today. Should have went more on black coats, when I peeled off the masking it ripped it a little. Now I have to either redip the whole thing or just cover up the rip and let it be since its black it'll be hard to notice unless close up.
