Sorry but they NEVER end, there will always be unnecessary discussions, especially when it comes to cars.

The SVX was the top of the line flagship GT coupe for Subaru. I really cant see the 216a being called that.
Saying that remember the name Alcyone was also used for the JDM XT-4 and later XT-6s. If Subaru ever tried to do a H6 4wd coupe again I would like to see the Alcyone or SVX name used again. Subaru did a wagon concept of the SVX and called it the Armadeus. Prehaps a new name for it... |

FR-S not very original but i can live with that. I was hoping they would keep the 86 in there some how. FT-86 was fine for me so FR-86 is good too. Both have a better ring to it than FR-S.

I like the name. Also agree with what others said - it could be worse, much worse.
.....This thing is taking forever to be released. Ugh. |

Too much drama over a name, IMO.
If the car is good, people will buy. If it's FT-86, FR-S, 12-3. AB-C. don't matter. Call it Toyota Poyota for all I care. Mazda seems to be doing alright with cars named by singular numbers.
